I have chosen childhood poverty as the topic for my simulation.
I chose the topic because I am interested in learning how poverty affects learning
outcomes during the early years and how the global economic crisis is effecting children. As a
foster parent, I have seen the effects poverty has on children, the long-term effects can continue into adulthood. I would welcome any feedback, advice or
insight:)

I think you have chosen an important topic for our profession. I would suggest looking at research that has looked at Head Start and what they have accomplished in terms of helping children who live in poverty have an opportunity to attend a quality preschool setting.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you post! It amazes me how some people really do not understand how poverty affects children even in school but with further research we all will gain a better understanding.
