                            Early Childhood Teacher Quotes

To pick three learnings from this program would be difficult. Striving each week to improve the challenge chosen and allowing my vision/passion for my project to grow me as a professional, has been rewarding. This class has forced me to look within my own program and improve specific areas for the children and families that attend.

I want to send a heartfelt “thank you” to Dr. Ernst and all my colleagues. I have thoroughly enjoyed this class. The feedback from each of you has inspired me and helped me grow as a professional. THANK YOU, Dr. Ernst, for always making each of us feel successful, I truly appreciate your feedback, caring demeanor, and professionalism throughout this course. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! NEVER let your passion for the field of early childhood die, always take care of yourself mentally, physically and emotionally. Be flexible! But the most important thing is LOVE the children, laugh with them, hug them and ensure they know you love them

My long term goal is to attempt the Doctoral program.

Much Love Karrie

The three organizations that appeal to me and would be an area of interest for either volunteer opportunities and/or a job opportunity are UNICEF, Save the Children, and International Step by Step Association. I chose these three organizations due to their work around the world with children and families. UNICEF works around the world to defend children’s rights through polices that protect children. Every child has the right to grow up in a safe and inclusive environment (UNICEF, 2020). Save the Children works in the U.S. and around the world to protect children from harm. Children are the most vulnerable during times of disaster. We do whatever it takes for children – transforming their lives and the future we share – because we believe every child deserves a future (Save the Children, 2011). International Step by Step stresses the importance of putting very young children and their families at the centre of all early childhood interventions and programs provided through a diverse range of services (ISSA, 2020)

Wow, I knew there were many organizations that did great things for families and children in the U.S. and internationally. However, until I researched all the multitude of organizations I didn’t realize all the services and resources provided to children and families. In addition, the impact we can make as individuals from afar is astronomical. I would work and/or volunteer for any of these organizations. I will definitely be navigating their websites to donate, advocate, and/or speak out for children and families.
